Rainbow Cloud Blending

Hello!

Thank you for visiting!  Today I'm sharing a colorful card using some of my favorite Distress colors.

Isn't this fun?  I cut a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and using the Simon Say Stamp Cloud Mixables stencil, ink blended from bottom to top in the following Distress Inks: Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, again Picked Raspberry.

The sentiments are from the Clean Line Faith stamp set from CZ Design, stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Simon's Ultra Fine Detail Gold embossing powder.  Then I trimmed off 1/4" from each side of the card to get rid of the harsh color lines on the edges.  I foam mounted the panel onto an A2 card base cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and that completed my card!  It was super simple and I am very pleased with the end result.  I hope you'll give it a try!

Take care!
Morgan

Hello Sunshine!

Good morning!

I hope you are warm and well.  We are experiencing colder-than-normal temperatures here in Oklahoma and it has been an interesting couple of weeks!  But my time at home has allowed me to spend lots of time making cards!

I started with a panel of Simon Say Stamp's Audrey Blue cardstock cut at 5" x 3 3/4".  I stamped Simon's Spring Flowers background stamp in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Simon's Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.  I traced around all the floral swirls with a Sakura Quickie Glue Roller Pen and dusted them with Simon Says Stamp's Unicorn Dust.  The pictures don't to it justice but in person the glitzy shine is gorgeous!

I cut Simon's Sunshine cardstock to 5 1/8" x 3 5x8" to layer behind the main panel.  I also used the same paper to cut the Bold Hello die three times and layered it together to give the sentiment some more dimension.  I stamped the word "sunshine" with Audrey Blue ink onto 80# Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut with Simon's Sentiment Strips dies.  The stamp is from Simon's Easter Greetings stamp set.  The full sentiment reads "hello sunshine" on its own, but I cut apart the two words so I can use them separately.  They fit back together easily if I want use the stamp as a whole again! I adhered my sentiments to the panel with foam adhesive and then dotted on some Tonic Nuvo Drops in English mustard to tie together the yellow panel and sentiment.  My finishing touch is a generous sprinkling of Tonic's Nuvo Crystal Gems.  I was sad to discover that these have been discontinued but there are several alternatives to these lovely clear gemstones.

This mix of aqua blue and yellow is a favorite of mine and I hope you'll enjoy it too!

Happy Crafting!
